The Spirit Animal tradition at HiYa Karate is that once you attain the rank of Second Degree Black Belt you are awarded a Spirit Animal. The characteristics of the animal reflects the fighting style and martial characteristics of the student. The studio also looks forward to students receiving their animal and spend months guessing.
